In late preseason switch from Harrisburg City Islanders to Saint Louis FC, Standout winger Jamiel Hardware has been added to the roster for the forthcoming USL season.
The 22 year old Jamaican played 44 times for Harrisburg since joining in 2013 scoring 4 times. Prior to his time in Pennsyvannia he played in the Swedish league system with Motala AIF and for PDL side Ventura County Fusion.
Hardware and the City Islanders reached the USL final last year before eventually falling short to Sacramento Republic. Listed at 5’8″ and 140 pounds, He spent the majority of the first half of last season on the bench, and towards the end of the season really grabbed his chance in some standout performances including the run and finish to beat Charlotte in the final league game needing a win to reach the playoffs. He then provided the assist to Antoine Hoppenot’s only goal to beat regular season champions Orlando City in the opening round.
In the next round against Richmond Kickers he picked up the ball 25 yards in his own half on a counter attack only to finish the move with a simple tap in to win the game 3-2.
He is clutch. And he is ours.
Welcome to St Louis Jamiel.
