Charity Du Jour started as a change jar on a table in the Soccer Park parking lot before games as we sold scarves out of the trunk of a car. Little did we know what a monster it would become. Over the years we’ve steadily grown donations to a SiLLy amount. We’ve added sticker sales, Schlaffles and special merch sales- but the heart of CDJ is still just donations. Good people having fun at our pregame parties stopping in just to drop a few bucks in the collection for charities in our community. Giving back to make our city a little better. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This was a good first year in MLS both on and off the pitch and your donations helped us raise a bunch. Not a record, but still, pretty damn good. We look forward to doing more in the future as more people get to know about the CDJ & want to get involved. So without further ado, here are the totals raised for the 2023 CITY season.

$20,167 in donations at the Street Party

$10,082 in Prideraiser Pledges

$5,000 from STL CITY for our Prideraiser

$25,000 from a VERY generous Corporate donor who wishes to remain anonymous.

That’s a grand total of $60,249!!!

This year we helped the following charities:

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society STL

SPENSA (Special Needs Soccer Association)

3 Little Birds 4 Life

The Women’s Safe House

The Josh Yaro Fund

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention STL

Most Valuable Teachers

Metro Trans Umbrella Group

The Trevor Project

SQSH (St. Louis Queer+ Support Helpline)

Steve’s Hotdogs – Feed The People

CHAMPS

The Bennett Project

STL Area Foodbank

Gateway to Hope

Gateway 180

Also we want to give a special shoutout to the people that donated items to our Schlaffles this season that helped us raise more money. Schlafly Brewing, Well-Being Brewing, 2nd Shift Brewing, Nikco Sports, Stl Supporter Apparel, Arch Apparel, STL From Above, STL TIFO Group, Other CITY SGs and any others we may have missed.

Thank you everyone. As a drunk man once said, “We’re gonna do big things.” He was right.
